The InnoEvent concept is the brainchild of Michael Lundorff-Hansen, Head of Department, Multimedia and IT at EA Lillebælt. Michaels’ intention with InnoEvent was to create an innovative platform, for mutually beneficial collaboration between students and businesses.
The concept has the added bonus of being able to showcase the skills of the students, to a broader audience. The use of unspoiled students and professionals from the fields of healthcare, business and innovation has proven a huge success. The first We have incubated 8 new businesses with the help of the hospital, and two welfare technology projects are now fully implemented at the hospital.
The purpose of InnoEvent is, that “unspoiled” students work together with skilled clinical staff and people from educational instituions, and businesses, to create innovative solutions for the hospital and the government.
During the entire InnoeEvent week, the students from Lillebælt Academy of Professional Higher Eduaction (EAL) and University College Lillebælt (UCL) work together in mixed groups. They collaborate in order to come up with innovative solutions, new processes, models and tools for Odense University Hospital (OUH).
The concepts are evaluated and judged on its value, realistic opportunity for implementation, and general quality of proposals, the judging will be made by professionals from the fields of health care and innovation. Innoevent is now supported by Developing Fyn Municipal Ltd.
